Months 1-2: Foundation & Interface Mastery
Get comfortable with your editing software. Learn the essential tools and keyboard shortcuts that make editing feel natural. Start cutting simple sequences and understanding basic story structure.
Months 3-4: Advanced Techniques & Creative Flow
Dive into color correction, audio design, and visual effects. Learn to work with different frame rates and formats. Begin developing your personal editing style through guided experimentation.
Months 5-6: Professional Portfolio Development
Complete three major projects that showcase different editing styles. Learn client communication, revision workflows, and delivery formats. Build a portfolio that demonstrates your capabilities.
